Evelyne Dourille-Feer holds a doctorat in Japanese studies (on savings by Japanese households), having studied previously at the University of Keïo, Japan, and at France's National Institute for Oriental Languages and Civilisations (INALCO).

She has worked many years in Japan's private sector.

Evelyn Dourille-Feer regularly participates in research groups as an expert on Japan.

Currently, she is researching into the renewal of Japanese capitalism and has conducted several sectoral studies of Japanese industry (iron and steel, aluminium, automobiles etc.), as well as Japanese strategies for Foreign Direct Investment in manufacturing, across several regions of the world.
