A graduate of the Institute of Political Studies (IEP) Paris and ENSAE, Nina Kousnetzoff is a senior economist with the CEPII.

She was responsible for collecting energy statistics for countries outside the OECD, for the International Energy Agency, from 1995 to 1999. Her publications at the IEA include annual reports on "Energy Statistics of Non-OECD Countries" and "Energy Balances of Non-OECD Countries". She was an advisor to various public organisations responsible for collecting energy statistics in countries outside the OECD.

Nina Kousnetzoff has worked closely with various research teams on the costs involved in preventing climate change, including with the Institute of Energy Economics and Politics (LEPII-EPE, Grenoble), and the International Centre for Research on the Environment and Development (CIRED).
