“How to revitalize the multilateral trading system?” CEPII & CEPR webinar

For years, stresses have been accumulating over the multilateral trading system. Yet, multilateral cooperation has proved once again its value during the sanitary crisis, and will more needed than ever to face the transformations of a closely interconnected world economy. Close to one year into the economic crisis ensuing the Covid-19 pandemics, and as a new US administration is about to take office, revitalizing the multilateral trading system requires consolidating WTO’s capacity to help handling international crisis, but also modernizing its rules. This webinar will take advantage of the recent publication of CEPR ebook "Revitalizing Multilateralism" edited by Richard Baldwin and Simon Evenett, to discuss options and priorities.
